Аннотация: The paper considers the problem of finding the geometric structure of an atomic cluster, for which the interaction energy of the atoms included in it is minimal. It is the problem of finding low-energy metallic Gupta clusters, which reduces to the global minimization of the multiextremal objective function. We developed algorithms and computational techniques for the investigation of these atomic clusters. Problems with a different number of particles were solved to check the performance of the developed methods. System computational experiments were performed to search for a global minimum in the Gupta model of extra-large dimensions (from 126 to 156 atoms). The authors are not aware of other works in which the results of computations for clusters of the specified dimensions are issued.
